nternational is key to NYL's
future growth. New York Life International, LLC (NYLI),
the international arm of NYL, offers life insurance and
asset accumulation products and
services to individuals and groups in select emerging markets
through its subsidiaries and joint ventures. Its business grew
to nearly 6,200 employees and close to 41,000 agents in nine
markets throughout Asia and Latin America, including Taiwan,
Hong Kong, China, Thailand, South Korea, India,
Mexico and Argentina. NYL's Insurance sales increased 25% to $652 million, and the operatiing revenue grew to $2.09 billion in 2007, up 17% over the prior year.
